“The first Maryland ABLE account for a person supported by the Arc of Washington County was opened in early 2018. Since then, we’ve established over 150 accounts. As a larger ALR, we worked closely with Maryland ABLE to streamline the process for making contributions, obtaining reports, and managing the accounts overall. Maryland ABLE has been a wonderful program for the individuals we serve, providing a flexible tool that has been used for many different purposes over the past six years. We are grateful for these accounts, which allow us to better support the financial well-being of those we serve.
The ease of setting up and adding new accounts, having access to a dashboard for viewing all our accounts in one place, the ability to download reports directly from the website, and the recent feature allowing us to bulk submit contributions and pull reports have all been key benefits we’ve experienced.”
