WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR AN ABLE ACCOUNT?
ABLE Accounts are for individuals whose disability began before age 26.
The disability must be terminal or long-term (more than 12 months) and must cause “marked and severe functional limitations.”
You must also meet one of the following criteria:

You are eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) because of your disability; oR

A doctor has diagnosed you with a disability (physical or mental)
